Initially implemented by Dhaka WASA, IMIS integrates critical sanitation data to manage desludging requests, transport logistics, treatment quality monitoring at faecal sludge treatment plants (FSTPs), sanitation worker safety, urban-rural sanitation convergence, and revenue tracking.

Used by over 85 water and sanitation authorities (WSSAs), the system standardizes data collection, supports business plan submissions, and tracks performance across 12 key regulatory indicators.
